Remy's special feature is his extremely delicate sense of smell and taste. A TV show about the book by the best chef in France, Auguste Gusteau, opens up the world of cooking to him. Unfortunately, a bad culinary experience leads to the mistress of the house learning about the existence of a family of rats and driving them away. Remy manages to see a message broadcast on TV that Gusteau died when his restaurant was deprived of one star. Pursued by an armed old woman, Remy falls into a drain and loses his loved ones. He falls into despair, but then the spirit of Gusteau comes to his aid and encourages him
